A note to churches from our Founder and President, Elaine Cook
I would like to introduce to you a ministry whose mission is to accept the command of James 1:27 in caring for the widow. This ministry is needed in our communities to pick up and minister to widows and encourage them where the church sometimes leaves off. This is an ongoing mission to care and to love these ladies on their journey.
I encourage you to consider this ministry in your church or community. Fellowship with those sharing in the journey is a Blessed gift from God. These ladies comfort one another and understand they cannot truly share what is on their hearts with others that have not experienced this journey.
This is a vital ministry to any church and/or community and I welcome the opportunity to answer any questions and to help you begin to realize this need and to help you through each step. I believe this will enrich your church and the lives of many out there who are searching for such support because I have seen it, experienced it, and know in my heart that this is what God intends for us to do. We have even witnessed a young widow accept Christ as her Savior and I had the privilege to be with her when she was Baptized.
My prayers go out to you to consider this ministry and I ask that you pray for the Lord’s guidance to lead this ministry to your area, because you will reap such rewards and blessings in the healing of these women’s hearts and the smiles that will appear when they realize they are so loved and not alone.
I have written a generic curriculum and is available to any church or organization that is interested in starting up this ministry for a cost of $25.00 (cover printing and postage). You may receive your copy by contacting me at widow2widow@aol.com I am also available to help each church or community to plan and answer questions to start up this ministry. I am available to travel and speak for any new group and share a story of triumph through my own journey into and through widowhood and how God used a willing heart to help others. |
